Women's History Month

In continuation of our celebration of Women's History Month we honor the bravery of Malala Yousafzai.

Malala set out to fight for educational access to the girls of Pakistan after the Taliban deemed girls ineligible to receive an education. She is still an active voice in the conversation today.

Educational Activists and Authors like Malala send the important global message that any child, regardless of gender, is entitled to a quality education. She was thanked by receiving a Nobel Peace Prize in 2014 alongside Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian Activist who is also a fierce champion of Children's Rights.

Our recommended reading on the this topic is "Malala's Magic Pencil", written by Malala Yousafzai. This book is available to read in our Artstudio along with a "Magic Pencil" craft.
